Cabin Light Functional?

Mine doesn't seem to have an effect, regardless of time of day.

There is no cabin light equiped, there is an under dash led strip light.
This is a fairly typical solution on an RV7.

So what does the cabin switch do?

I just missunderstood the question ;)
The switch is labeled PNL as is panel...and it is a three way switch.
OFF-->Panel-->Gauge

Ahhh, I know what's up... I download a new paint that also has a new interior. The label for pitot is accidentally set to cabin hehe...
